Coast to Coast to Coast journal designed and created by Maria Isakova-Bennett, and edited by Maria Isakova-Bennett & Michael Brown, is a stitched journal designed to be both a small piece of art work and a regular poetry publication. Each issue will contain the work of a maximum of twenty poets and each will be unique and produced as a limited edition.
As a result of the many positive comments and huge interest in the journals, our first competition is open.
Would you like a small portfolio of your poems stitched between hand made covers and published by Coast to Coast to Coast?
- Submissions open on December 8th 2017, until February 10th 2018
- 12 poems (poems can have been previously published individually).
- The winner will receive 30 hand made copies of their pamphlet, and two runners up will have two poems published in Issue 4 of Coast to Coast to Coast.
The result will be announced by April 8th and the winner will be invited to read at a launch event in Liverpool early summer.
Submission costs £10, payable by PayPal to firstname.lastname@example.org or email to pay by transfer or cheque
The creation and production of the journal is part of the wider Coast to Coast to Coast vision which aims to blur the boundaries between poetry and fine art, in particular sculpture, installation and the production of ‘books’ using stitch as part of the design.
Coast to Coast to Coast journal will be published three times in the first year, invites submissions, aims to bring together work of new writers with more accomplished and experienced writers and to launch the journal at venues of artistic and architectural interest with readings, music and talks linked to the venue.
